How to post junk mail.
- Take a picture of the junk mail you've received.
- Click the Report Junk link from the navigation.
- Click Choose File to choose a file from your computer. (Choose a second image if you took two.)
- Click Upload.
- Junk86 will upload and automatically read the contents of the image(s) to find the recipient and sender information.
- That's all you need to do. If you'd like, you can help with the following steps.
- If we have seen the same recipient & address combination before we'll automatically update the item with this information. If we haven't seen it, you can click the name, address, and city/state/zip to add them.
- If we have seen the same sender & address combination before we'll automatically update the item with this information. If we haven't seen it, you can click the name, address, and city/state/zip to add them.
- For senders we haven't processed junk for before we'll figure out the best way to opt-out and add that to our system.
- Once we have verified the recipient, sender, and opt-out process we'll automatically submit an opt-out request on your behalf.
- We will notify you of opt-out request submissions, confirmations of opt-out sucesses, problems we encounter where we could use some help from you, and follow-ups to opt-out requests to confirm with you that you're no longer receiving a specific junk mail.
What are acceptable pictures?
- The picture should capture the recipient's name & address and Sender's name & address.
- If you can't get both into one photo take separate photos.
- The pictures can be from the envelope, catalog, or letter contained within an envelope.
- If you can't find a return address, make sure that a photo contains the sender's name.
